On July 5th, I was extremely fortunate to visit The Rotary Club of Bandon, located in beautiful County Cork, Ireland. Similar to our club, they are classified as a small club. However, they have a long list of fundraising accomplishments that include an annual Charity Golf Event at the Bandon Golf Club (this year celebrating its 30th year), Tree of Remembrance at Christmas time, and a spring Daffodil Day Breakfast fundraiser.  It is no secret the Irish are famous for their hospitality and Bandon proved that statement to be more than true. I was treated like a royal Irish princess.
It was great fun exchanging flags with President Herbert Obbink and member Marie Norton.  For more information on The Rotary Club of Bandon, visit
